The #1 Thing You Can Do at Home That Will Help Your Pain

While at the gym the other day I noticed these weird cylinder shaped things lining the walls. Okay they weren’t that weird because I knew exactly what they were and what they’re used for. I can definitely see a lot of people not having a clue though.

What are we even talking about here??

We are talking about Foam Rollers. You know, those long cylindrical pieces of foam that are at the gym that some of the super fit people use to roll out their entire body it seems like. This may be the case but it is something that a lot more people should be doing in the gym. A lot of people that I meet in the office mention that they have pain here and there and often times that it feels muscular. People tend to carry stress in certain areas of their body like their neck, shoulders, or low back. Something that can really help this is foam rolling.

Muscles in the body will sometimes form adhesions or knots, which can be extremely painful. These can also lead to different imbalances in the body causing pain in other areas. Foam rolling helps break up these adhesions or knots making it so there isn’t as much pain or discomfort experienced. What is nice is that foam rolling is something that you can do in the comfort of your own home. They are relatively inexpensive and you can find them on Amazon or anywhere else. We decided to team up with head trainer Lucas Nelson of Be Fitness to walk us through the proper way to foam roll. If you have never foam rolled before be sure to check out the video below! If you have any questions as to if you are doing it correctly or what type of foam roller is best for you, feel free to give us a call or email.
